Project Drawdown & Endowment Investing

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

As more asset managers offer ESG products to endowments, there is a growing risk of greenwashing - or funds that change little in terms of their holdings or how they engage with companies, but simply reframe their existing funds as ESG or sustainable. Transparency and disclosure is a great way to counter greenwashing. Yet, knowing which metrics to use and accessing high quality data can be challenging. As more endowments pursue Net Zero Portfolios, measuring the portfolio’s carbon footprint is a valuable step, but has limitations. This session will explore a new approach to using the Project Drawdown framework as a guide for evaluating how investments contribute to reducing global warming. Participants will hear from Project Drawdown on the most important global warming solutions their research has identified, and from Stewart Investors on how they have mapped their portfolio companies to the Drawdown framework, and can report on those outcomes via an interactive world map.
